New Groove Creative serving Ashford and the wider Kent area provides a wide range of classes based on Authentic Street Dance, during which we feel that through the vibrant, cultural and social art of Street Dance, we can bring out the best in everybody. We provide fun and friendly dance classes for all ages and abilities from 2 years to senior adults which include school clubs, positive activity courses, dance fitness classes and wedding first dance experiences. All services are for fun, fitness, confidence building, resilience training and friendship. We offer our services to anyone who loves to dance to express themselves through positivity, passion and personal development. The range of services are:
GrooveTOTS & GrooveKIDZ
Authentic Street Dance classes in the styles of Hip Hop, Lockin & Breaking for ages 2-16 years. Transform your child’s Street Dance experience through passion and positivity. Meet like-minded dancers and watch your child’s confidence bloom as they become part of our Street Dance Community
GrooveFIT
Adult Street Dance inspired moderate fitness workout in a social party atmosphere with cardio, strength and core training. No experience necessary. Who knew being fit could be this fun?
Groovercise
Exercise & Friendship – for the mature and retired. Dance your way through a light, easy to follow exercise class to all of your favourite song classics. No dance experience necessary. Refreshments and social time included in the session price and timings

Meet The Team:
Ellie has worked in the performing industry for many years touring with Channel 5's Milkshake! Live as Dance Captain and has been on worldwide dance tours to countries such as India and Qatar. Performing credits also include a number of leading lady roles in pantomimes across the UK and the West End with roles such as Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, Princess Jasmine in Aladdin and as Fairy Nuff in local pantomime, and has performed at the iconic Glastonbury Festival. Ellie recently performed on ITV's This Morning to celebrate 50 years since The Beatles released their first album Abbey Road. Ellie completed her Teacher Training qualification with the UK’s leading Street Dance Specialists Urban Strides and is also part of their Senior Dance Crew. Ellie is a volunteer/befriender for the Young Lives Foundation which was her inspiration for starting NGC.
Fun Facts: Ellie is learning to play the piano, loves to watch movies (not scary ones!) eating ice cream and favourite food is a roast dinner! She sang at the Pre-Olympic Opening Ceremony in Beijing, China, as a schoolgirl. Her dream job is to be a Unicorn!
My Mission with New Groove Creative
The inspiration behind New Groove Creative is Ellie Fiore. Ellie says “New Groove Creative’s mission isn’t about being the best in the room, it is about reaching your own potential, whether that be in exploring new dance styles, new confidence, new social skills or developing personal growth through the power of the vibrant and cultural dance style of Street Dance due to its social nature.
“Using mindfulness and resilience training to maintain a good mental attitude is key in the fast-paced society we live in today. New Groove Creative’s mission is to practice these principles in our sessions so that our students can incorporate these skills into everyday life.
“I believe that without challenges we are unable to learn and to overcome obstacles that life may throw our way. I use techniques to 'challenge' our students to encourage them to become more aware of themselves and in turn motivating them to deal with certain obstacles, however big or small. This is a key part of building resilience!
According to Mind Charity statistics 1 in 4 people are experiencing mental health issues in the UK. I am particularly mindful that during these challenging and uncertain times we are all facing and adjusting too, I aspire to inspire people of all ages to visualise learning through creativity and mindfulness. I myself, strive to keep learning new techniques for my services, to consistently create a safe and positive environment for all to enjoy being unapologetically themselves”.
Ben
Ben found his love for dancing at the age of three. He gained his professional training in Dartford, where he studied at Reynolds Training Academy for three years on the dance course.
Since graduating Ben has been performing on a variety of stages. From Pantomimes, Britain's Got Talent, to working onboard cruise ships. Some of which include Holland America, Cunard and P&O.
Teaching and choreography is a great outlet for bens creativity. Being able to be a part of the process of someone’s development and achieve their goals within the performance industry, is an extremely gratifying process.
